Tool #4
Google Apps is a really cool tool! I began using it at the beginning of the year when we were briefly told about it and I began to play with it for a bit. I created a power point presentation in google apps and was able to work at home and not have to worry about saving on a disk or making sure I used the same computer. My students and I enjoyed the presentation. I also love being able to share documents with colleagues instead of having to give them a paper copy. If they choose, they can always change doc. to their teaching style. Once I get my students started on google, I will be able to have them write or create presentations and be able to grade their projects without having to take a basket home full of papers. It will be right here in the computer. Very easy!!

I can help you log your class into their Google Docs accounts if you want me too sometime when they come to the library. I just need some advanced warning so I can make sure the COWs aren't all being used. I had all the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders begin earlier this year and it is just one step you don't have to do with them.
