After reading and watching the videos on tool 8, I learned that as a teacher I am responsible for insuring that the students and myself use the devices properly. I need to sync the devices to be able to download apps and other material much faster. My students will be engaged in learning while creating new products to demonstrate their learning of the objective.
To manage the devices in my classroom I will set rules and guidelines that need to be followed. I will also make sure that only students with parent permission have access to the devices. In my classroom, students have "jobs" that they are responsible for. I will plan on adding new jobs as to how my students will be using the devices in the classroom.

Tool #7
Content objective will be reading. TSW use prior learning about people or animals they have researched on to create an animoto to present to their reading buddies from another grade level. Their partner will then write 2-3 sentences about their learning in their journals and if time permits on blog created or edmodo. This will take place some time in the Spring.

Tool #6

One of the tools I found interesting is wallwisher. I would use this as a writing/community center where students can share their thoughts about things. Sometimes we don't get that one-on-one time and many of my students have lots to share.I feel this would be one way to give them that opportunity to share their thoughts and use it as a writing stem. I also liked Edmodo since it is a tool that is being used by SBISD. It is a way to have a discussion with different groups and I can also use it to have discussions with my students.

Tool #5
The tools provided are great tools to hook our students into learning a new concept that can later be used for centers. I know some of my students would benefit from using their creativity to creating new projects through technology.

Tool #4
Google Apps is a really cool tool! I began using it at the beginning of the year when we were briefly told about it and I began to play with it for a bit. I created a power point presentation in google apps and was able to work at home and not have to worry about saving on a disk or making sure I used the same computer. My students and I enjoyed the presentation. I also love being able to share documents with colleagues instead of having to give them a paper copy. If they choose, they can always change doc. to their teaching style. Once I get my students started on google, I will be able to have them write or create presentations and be able to grade their projects without having to take a basket home full of papers. It will be right here in the computer. Very easy!!

Tool #3
The site I found more useful so far is you tube. You tube has lots of great videos we could use for teaching different objectives. Schooltube was interesting. I saw videos that were student created and hopefully I will get my students to creating a video one day.
Copy right is very important for everyone to be aware of. I learned that as a teacher I need to make sure that what I publish or what is published by my students is published in a secure network.
Using a Dropbox is going to be very helpful for my team. We will be able to place images that we use every year into our dropbox and just use them as we teach and not have to go through our file cabinet to search for our stuff.

Tool #2
It was interesting to go to other colleagues blogs and see what they have done with their blogger and the pictures they've shared. Many have great ideas that can be used in my own classroom. Sometimes there is no time to stand and talk about our ideas other than the small planning time we have. Through the internet, we can view, blog, share and comment about what we are doing in our classrooms. I would like to use Diigo in the near future because it seems like a great service that would help me remember and share many things with my colleagues and students.
